Lucia Carro Veiga has studied in Spain, France, Germany and Switzerland with teachers Christian Dierstein, Juanjo Guillem, Bernhard Wulff, Pascal Pons and Philippe Spiesser among others. 2016 she was studying with Steven Schick in the UCSD San Diego and finished her Master Specialization in New Music at the Hochschule für Musik in Basel.

 

As a soloist and member of different chamber music groups, she worked with composers such Sofia Gudaidulina, Klaus Huber, Cristobal Halffter, Beat Furrer, Georges Aperghis, Heinz Holliger and Helmut Lachenmann. She performed in concert halls and festivals in Europe, Asia, Malaysia and America, special mention to the Lucerne Festival, Concertgebouw Amsterdam, Edimburg International Music Festival, Monaco Electroacoustic Festival, Mongolia Rooring-Hooves Festival or Two Days and Two Nights of New Music in Ucraine.

 

Currently, she is teaching in different percussion schools and pedagogical projects in Switzerland and in the Escuela Superior de Música Katarina Gurska in Madrid, giving solo and chamber music concerts around the world and working with composers for the creation of new pieces for percussion.

 

She is learning Alexander Technique in the Alexander Technique School in Freiburg im Breisgau (Germany) and she is the artistic director of the International Festival Bergerault in Spain
