Sergio ASTASIO

Sergio Astasio López de Lerma (1991) studied in the Conservatories in Ciudad Real and Zaragoza, finishing his bachelor degree at the Higher Music Conservatory of Aragon (CSMA) in 2011 and his orchestral training in the Baremboind-Said Orchestral Studies Academy in Seville. He was member of the OJEX (Extremadura Young Orchestra), the Gustav Mahler JugendOrchestre (waiting list 2017); NJO Summer Academy (2014); Luslawice Academy Orchestra (2015); Penderecki Musik Akademie (2015).

Currently he collaborates with different professionals orchestras such Orquesta de Extremadura (OEX), Orquesta de la Comunidad de Madrid (ORCAM), Orquesta Sinfónica Verum … As well as contemporary music ensemble Plural Ensemble, Drama! and Nuevo Contemporáneo among others.

After his pedagogical training about emotional intelligent and musical education, he started to work as a percussion teacher at different music schools in Spain.

Passionate about percussion and his home town, Valdepeñas, Sergio is co- founder of Jornadas de la Percusión of Valdepeñas and he is a member of #percu(fu)sión
